white collar and criminal defense practice in DC, Virginia, and all federal courts
Ed represents individuals charged with or being investigated for serious white collar and other crimes in federal and state trial courts in the District of Columbia, Virginia, and, when needed, nationally in federal court. Ed has exclusively practiced criminal defense and related civil mattters since 1994. Ed is known for persistent, creative, and compassionate representation that advances the dignity of his clients and that obtains success in results for them.
The first Ungvarsky Law, PLLC Summer 2019 Educational Intern accepted an offer - a Wesleyan University graduating senior who has used her Spanish language skills in prior criminal defense and immigration internships. Any law students or undergraduate students who are interested in working on a variety of criminal and capital defense cases in a small, creative law firm based in Alexandria, VA outside Washington, DC this summer should send a detailed cover letter and resume to firstname.lastname@example.org. We aim for a pair of interns to work collaboratively with each other and with me. I am scheduled to be in a weeks-long federal trial all summer, which might be especially fun and engaging for students (and a source of much needed intern assistance).
Persons of color and persons with Spanish-language fluency are strongly encouraged to apply.
Ed believes that his client's needs and goals come first and are at the center of his representation. Criminal investigations and charges can have serious life-changing consequences. Each client's case is exceedingly important to the client, and therefore to Ed. The firm handles a relatively small number of cases at any one time to enable Ed to give each case the time and close, individual attention it deserves to obtain the best outcome for his client.
